Experience

Isabel Álvarez has been a patent adviser in the biotechnology department of Herrero & Asociados since 2010. Her practice is mainly focused in the biotechnological and pharmaceutical field, where her main tasks involve drafting and prosecuting patent applications, as well as preparing patentability and infringement opinions. She is also experienced in the prosecution of SPCs and in prior art searches in patent and non patent databases.
She has much experience in performing formal and technical examinations of patent applications as well as in prior art searches thanks to her work with the Spanish Patent and Trade Mark Office.

 She has published papers in peer-reviewed journals (Journal Cell Biology, Journal of Cell Science, PLoS One) and presented her work at international scientific meetings.
