It is well known that BPTO has been facing a huge backlog for many years, caused by poor infrastructure and an insufficient number of examiners. In the last few years we have seen the efforts of the BPTO to implement technical and practical measures to substantially reduce the patent backlog and ensure the quality in the concession of intellectual property rights despite the growing demand.
